Colombo-Katunayake Airport Expressway, Sri Lanka, which is known as “the first road to the country”, employs the EPC project mode with a construction period of 39 months. With a total mileage of 30.6 km, the project includes but not limited to three interexchange crossovers, 24 bridges, five overpasses, 77 culverts, 12 dispatched crossovers, seven km soft base treatment and 1.8km sea reclaimed road etc. The project has won a Luban Award for Overseas Engineering and National Excellent Engineering Award in Sri Lanka.
